Police charge three after responding to stabbing on Saint James Boulevard

Police report that around 1:15 this morning, they responded to a report of a stabbing at a home along Saint James Boulevard.

According to police, an investigation determined that a group of acquaintances had been socializing together when a physical altercation occurred between two males. Reportedly, an ear of one of the males was torn as a result of the altercation and a female who attempted to intervene was punched in the face. The other male initially left the home after the altercation, but smashed a window. When the occupants went out to see what happened, he re-entered the home. He began repeatedly hitting a female in the face. The female picked up a knife and threatened the male. The female who was punched in the face then grabbed the knife away and stabbed the second male twice. He was transported to hospital, treated, and released to police custody.

Police have charged Zachary Nelson Day Rider, 20, of Glenwood, with two counts of assault and one count each of assault causing bodily harm, mischief, and breach of an undertaking. He was scheduled to appear in court today.

Police have charged Natasha Selena Clara Good Rider, 21, of Lethbridge, with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of a dangerous weapon. She is scheduled to appear in court July 24.

Police have charged Deon Evens Gros Ventre Boy, 28, of Lethbridge, with breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court July 31.
